JiveSwing at the Royal Engineers Museum Kent

Saturday, 16th May, 2015

On Saturday 16th May, the JiveSwing family, primarily consisting of dancers from our local Canterbury classes, were invited to dance and teach a swing dance class at the Royal Engineers Museum.

Over 50 people from the Museum, got excited and joined in the  Lindy Hop class, led by JiveSwing teachers James and Charlotte Maughan-Jones, whilst the rest of the team,  performed the JiveSwing Stroll and danced the Lindy Hop to Swing music, all afternoon.

JIveSwing Canterbury Venue Manager, Karen Middlemiss, reported a great time, as they all dressed in vintage attire, complete with victory rolls and red lipsticks, for the ladies… There were other vintage stalls on the day, such as hair dressers etc, but it seems that the dancing pulled the crowds and had a great time :-)
