WHAT TO EXPECT... When you arrive, you will be greeted by our friendly crew who will guide you through 'What's What'. The night kicks off with a beginners class which lasts for 50mins.
You will have 10 mins to practice, have a drink whilst making new friends before the next class, which lasts a further 50 mins. After this time we hope that you stay on, socialise and try out your new moves and dance with more experienced dancers! It's a real fun night out.
Accelerate with Workshops.
We will focus primarily on Lindy Hop. However from time to time you will be
introduced to a variety of other styles
including 1920s Charleston and Swing Blues.

CLASSES IN DETAIL... |
|
STARTS AT 8:00 - 8:50pm
A fresh beginners course runs every 6 weeks covering key fundamental moves. We rotate people around every few minutes.
At the end of your first class, you'll leave with at least 3 - 5 simple moves that you can use straight away to impress your friends. By the end of 6 weeks, you may not be a world champion, but you'll be able to dance a whole track. |

|
|
STARTS AT 9:00 - 9:50pm
Here you learn build upon the fundamental moves already learnt in the beginners class. We will teach you a number of variations, assuming you know the basic Swing Outs, Lindy Turn, Circles and Charleston.
You will start to learn more challenging footwork and moves to enhance your social dancing, whilst improving style and lead / follow techniques.
Those that are visiting for their first course, would be invited to join the 'Review class'. |

STARTS AT 9:50 - 11:15pm
This is a great opportunity to practice the moves learnt in class with lots of other dancers. We encourage all students to stay on and dance with other students. We find that people who do stay till the end seem to progress quicker and grasp new concepts and moves a lot more easier.
The music varies from the 1930s to some of today's classics neo tracks. You'll hear a good selection of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Chick Webb, Glenn Miller, Ella Fitzgerald , Slim & Slam, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, etc.
NB: In addition you can gain further practice / social dancing at Harlem Nights, Boogie Shack or any other JiveSwing class on, Thursday or Friday to social dance |
*No refunds within 14 days of the course
