JiveSwing are currently among the UK & Europe’s leading swing dance teachers and performers of vintage dances such as the 1940s Lindy Hop, Blues, 1920’s Charleston, Cake Walk and Authentic Jazz. JiveSwing tour at least forty weeks a year, inspiring and wowing people wherever they go with their high energy performances. JiveSwing have taught and performed all over the UK; for schools, universities, theatres and corporate clients, including the world famous Royal Albert Hall, London’s Canary Wharf, MOVE IT, DHL, Tesco, Nationwide, John Lewis, Butlins, English Heritage, Ideal Home Show and The Dorchester.
In addition to JiveSwing’s national and international competition titles, they’ve featured on a number of music videos, books, magazines, radio and TV projects, such as BBC2’s 1940s Wartime Farm, national TV adverts for Dreamboats and Petticoats, Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me Royal Special and ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent. JiveSwing’s Joseph Sewell was also a dance consultant and special guest in the BBC documentary Swingin’ at the Savoy, presented by Strictly’s Len Goodman, who was being taught by Joseph how to swing dance. JiveSwing have also featured as the main choreographers and dancers in a number of music videos, including Sing Sing Sing by Yolanda Be Cool (of Americano fame) and We Should Kiss by Joe Stilgoe.
JiveSwing have been hired as main billing acts all over the world – Germany, France, Sweden, Spain, Scotland, Greece, Wales, Norway, Turkey, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, Jersey, Czech Republic, Hungary, Amsterdam, Israel, Slovenia, Italy and Austria.
