| SATURDAY 4th OCTOBER - "Burlesque and Styling" with Sharon Davis |
A one day workshop with an introduction to the fun and glamorous world of burlesque! The afternoon is all about having fun whilst discovering, exploring and drawing out your sexy, sensual inner burlesque queen, in a playful, safe and friendly environment! It's perfect for all ages, shapes and persuasions!
The second half of the workshop will focus on some ladies styling for Lindy Hoppers/ Swing dancers. We would encourage those who are Intermediate level and above to apply for the workshop.

| SUNDAY 3rd AUGUST - SUGA MAMAS Auditions |
I am looking for ladies who have a general dance background, a passion to perform, not scared to take risks and have no inhibitions. You should be comfortable and confident in your own skin and be willing to contribute your experiences to the mix. Commitment to rehearsals is essential and will be mainly on a Sunday in Hertfordshire.
Auditions will now take place on Sunday 3rd August 2008 from 1.00pm - 5.00pm at the Dance Studio, Hertfordshire Sports Village, Hatfield. You will learn 1/2 solo dance routines during this time and will be asked to perform them at the end of the day.

Whilst the workshop will include some challenging concepts, it will also focus on:
• Style and bringing “personality” into your dancing
• improvisation and musicality
• Following techniques and being “playful” within your dancing
As a result it should make you more confident in your dancing and give you the benefits of having focused learning and feedback on your development areas should you require it.

This was the most popular dance of the 1930s. Performed and danced by Whiteys Lindy Hoppers, choreographed by Frankie Manning and is fast becoming one of the most popular jazz routines danced amongst the top Lindy hoppers in the world. Every swing dancer should know this. Don't miss your opportunity.

Come and learn the jazz routines that are associated with the Swing era and danced at every Lindy Hop event around the World.
