Q) Have you ever wanted to attend a workshop and it was over subscribed with women? or the class was focused on patterns for leads? as a follower you felt neglected and lacking inspiration after a class?

A) At some point we will have all felt this, our schedule is simply designed to inspire and develop "FOLLOWERS" . Most of our workshops will be "Solo" work (not requiring leads) however from time to time we may invite leads to attend workshops with the focus still on followers technique, movement and styling.

"Burlesque and Styling" Ladies Workshop

Even some of the best workshops, with some of the world's best teachers, do not always cater for followers, so we have decided to focus this workshop entirely for women. Whilst the workshop will include some challenging concepts, it will also focus on style, improvisation, musicality, following techniques; making you more confident in your dancing and giving you the benefits of having focused learning and feedback on your development areas should you require it.

Ability Level:
Workshop is aimed at general level and encourages ladies from all Swing dance styles.

SHARON DAVIS

Hailing from Perth in Western Australia, Sharon has been performing, teaching and competing in vintage jazz dances since 2001. In Lindy Hop, Blues and Charleston, Sharon is admired for her unique and feminine style, musicality and energy. Sharon has also built an international reputation in solo jazz dances, including 1920s Charleston, authentic jazz, solo blues and burlesque.

Sharon has a background in theatre, and is co-founder of Australian burlesque troupe Sugar Blue Burlesque , with which she has delighted audiences with her graceful feather fan dances and sassy showgirl antics. Sharon is an Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown champion, and has claimed numerous awards in Australia and internationally.

As an instructor and DJ, Sharon is known for her dedication to the history of vernacular jazz dances and the music they evolved to. With her bright and bubbly personality, Sharon's teaching style is energetic, creative and fun.

WH0 ARE THEY FOR?
Workshops are primarily for followers who are ready to take on a challenge with their dancing, they are comfortable with the basic now need that added "Suga" to make them sparkle. Therefore workshops may be aimed from "general level to advanced level"

HOW DOES IT WORK ?
Workshop numbers will be limited, so that private attention can be given to students. Workshops will be often held in studios in Hertfordshire. Please ensure you read the workshop descriptors so that you are clear about the learning outcome. My advise is that you book as early as possible in order not to be disappointed. Once you have decided which workshop is for you complete the application form and then make your payment. You will be sent joining instructions of your workshop/directions on confirmation of your payment by email.

Workshops are ONLY *£25.00 per person (which includes 4 hours of tuition with break and complimentary refreshments)

CANCELLATION POLICY
As these workshops are organised on a “cost price” structure, we are unable to give refunds 21 days before the workshop. However we will endeavour to sell your ticket on providing there is a waiting list.
