JiveSwing's Alison Marsh

As a chemical engineer by day for a major water works company, Alison has no hesitation in piping up!

Alongside her passion for Lindy Hop, Alison has a background in Tap, drama, Ballroom and a keen focus on Authentic Jazz movement, which adds to the fun and dynamics in her classes and on the social dance floor.

In addition to completing the extensive JiveSwing.Com Teacher Training Course(s), Alison has learnt from the best international Swing Dance teachers at GNSH and other major international Swing Dance Camps in the USA and Europe.

Alison teaches weekly Lindy Hop classes and workshops in Hertfordshire, but has also taught and performed for organisers across the UK and Germany.

In addition Alison has also been chosen to perform in London’s top venues Canary Wharf and the world famous Royal Albert Hall, where she was instrumental in the leadership, choreography and was one of the very few teachers invited back to teach.

Regarding competition credits, Alison took 2nd place in the Prague International Lindy Hop Competition 2009 and competed in one of the world’s toughest competitions, the Hellzappopin Contest 2009 held in New York.

Alison has also undertaken TV work for Petticoats and Dreamboats TV advert and Yolanda Be Cool’s Sing Sing Sing music video.

Given that Alison has been teaching people sailing since her teens, you’ll have no problem sailing through her classes.
