When Jive met Swing' (WJMS) is a one day spectacular dance event, which started back in 2001. It is one of the biggest all day "Jive and Swing" dance events in the UK. This is the event everyone is talking about, its going to be "AWESOME" in 2007!
The event is about combining the very best of dance, introducing different styles and 'flavas' all under one roof. Every year, the emphasis is on having fun, meeting new friends and learning loads of new and dance styles.
There are always workshops in styles suitable for Modern Jive and Swing dancers, such as Hip Hop, Blues, Charleston, Jazz steps, Lindy Hop, Balboa, Salsa, Boogie Woogie and Shag. This year we plan to introduce other styles such as
East Coast Swing to titillate your taste buds...

When you arrive you can take
as many classes as you can handle during the day, you can be reassured that we offer you the very best UK and International teachers, brought together with fantastic music provided by top Jive, Blues and Swing DJs in each room.

THE PARTIES & LIVE BAND..
Last year we had fantastic feedback about the atmosphere of the evening, over 250 dancers came to party!!
We will have guest teachers to open up the evenings entertainment with a FUN CLASS @ 7.30pm or a Cabaret later in the evening.
During the evening, you can switch between the Jive and Swing rooms, to suit your taste of music and dance with some of the best dancers in the UK as well as be entertained by the best of UK live music. This year we have the internationally renowned ?
