From Hertfordshire, UK
JOSEPH AND TRISHA
Said to be two of the most busiest, exciting, stylish and up and coming international dance teachers emerging from the UK scene today, Joseph and Trisha have become popular on the international dance scene for their natural smooth style, technique, musicality and originality in their dancing and teaching.
With a varied history of Lindy Hop, Blues, 20's Charleston, Tap, Jive and Jazz movement etc, they have been invited to teach extensively across Europe at major dance events in countries such as Paris, Scotland, Toulouse, Wales, Amsterdam, Sweden, Greece, Prague, Barcelona, Switzerland, Norway, Hungary, Belgium and Denmark.
Their exciting and innovative style of teaching is described as very clear, energetic, dynamic, fun, informative and very friendly, with a knack of making the most complex moves and techniques, seem oh so simple.
Although dedicating their time and energy to a busy teaching schedule and organising events, Joseph and Trisha have achieved first place in a number of competitions, including the UK Lindy Hop Championships, as well as appearing in newspapers and on Channel 4 and BBC TV.

From Sweden
ULRIKA LARSDOTTER ERICSSON
From Sweden, Ulrika has been dancing for many years and is an original member of The Rhythm Hot Shots, one of the first professional performance troupes from Sweden, formed in 1985. Every Swing dancer will know them for their outstanding acrobatic Lindy Hop and recreating Tap, Lindy Hop and Charleston performances from the early swing era.
As part of the group, credits include over 1000 performances worldwide, over 25 TV appearances in Sweden and many international tours.
As further testament of Urika's teaching abilities, she has coached and choreographed for dance students and groups, including the 'National Swedish Lindy-hop team' who have traveled to perform together and individually, winning competitions such as the 'World Lindy-hop Championships'.

From Sweden
RICKARD EKSTRAND
Hailing from Sweden, Rickard is the man to show us what happens when Swing meets Hip Hop.
Just a bit past 21 years old, Rikard has been dancing since the tender age of 7 and started Lindy Hop in 98.
A year later he had his first competition and has won several national competition titles in both Lindy Hop and Boogie Woogie, where in 2003 he achieved 2nd place in the "World Lindy Hop Championships"
Over the last two years he has been focusing on Lindy Hop and street dancing and is one of the members in the Swedish streetdance-company “FIRSTCLASS”, specializing in funkstyle dances like Locking, Boogaloo/Popping and Breaking.
Rickard and Ulrika have both provided spectacular cabarets at GNSH and is ready to bring his flavor to WJMS 2007.

NIGEL ANDERSON
(AKA Nigel & Nina)
Nigel has been teaching at WJMS since we first started. He began dancing together with his partner Nina (who is currently on a sabbatical) in August 1996, originally concentrating on Modern Jive before diversifying into a number of other dance styles.
He now teaches across the UK and have designed a number of specialist workshops to bring together many of the various styles to show how they can be used in the modern jive idiom.
Known for their cabarets, in October 1997 together with his partner, he Won the UK Modern Jive Championships, then went on to winning the 1999 UK Modern Jive Championships, gaining titles in both the Classic and Showcase sections.

MARK & JACKIE
Mark has been dancing modern Jive since 1993 and Jax since 1997. There style consists of Modern Jive, with hints of R&B, Swing and Hip Hop, which can be seen in their cabarets.
They first competed together in the British Swing Dance Championships in 1999, coming 2nd in the Slow Groove section.
Later that year they came 4th in the UK Modern Jive Open Classic Advanced Section.
To add to their credits, they performed at Blackpool in March 2001, where they choreographed a routine with an emphasis on Street Dance Le Roc. This routine won the Spotlight Section of the'Chance2Dance' UK OpenJive competition.
If that's not enough, the same year, they also won the Showcase Section of the UK Ceroc Dance Champions 2001.

CHARLOTTE
To add a twist of Salsa and Cha Cha Cha to your dancing, we have drafted in our local Salsa expert Charlotte.
With a wide range of latin styles under her belt, she is normally seen churning out a barage of dynamic moves to both absolute beginners and flashy advanced dancers at most of the popular clubs in Hertfordshire.
